This is how my week was.  Rainy, Snowy, Hispanic, religious, happy, and not very exciting.  Angel came to church, and brought a friend!  So that was cool.  He is progressing super well and I love the guy to death.  We had a hard time getting members out this week, but we had a good amount of other lessons.  We almost got killed by an angry Mexican man at 9pm.  Sometimes I wonder why we are supposed to be out til 9pm because it seems like more harm than good comes from it…but oh well, I will continue to be obedient because I bet I am getting tons of killer blessing.  Besides that, you already know we have been hitting the gym every day at 6am sharp to keep that mission bod away best as possible.

A quick little thought about what I learned this week that applies to every single one of you is that putting on the armor of God is not comfortable.  It isn’t convenient or makes life perfect, but it keeps you safe from sin.

Hey everyone.  This week was pretty awesome.

1.  Angel came to church and LOVED it.  He was telling us how he felt so much peace just like we described to him.  He especially loved the idea of Testimony meeting.  He thought it was so cool how anyone could share their own testimony.

2.  We drove all the way up to Omak (right by Canada) for a zone training meeting.  It was really pretty to drive along the Columbia river, I saw like 4 or 5 bald eagles and that was cool.

3.  I recognized the change that has already happened in my short 6 months as a missionary.  I was reading in Acts chapters 3-5 about Peter and John and the other Apostles.  I recommend reading those chapters and thinking about what you do to stand up for what you believe in.  To summarize, the apostles are taken, tried by the people that Crucified Jesus, bear testimony despite what the consequences might be, and then are beaten. Then after all of that this is what they say.  “ And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.” Before that we read that the people put their sick in the streets so that the shadow of Peter might pass over them.  This is the type of affect someone who stands up for what their beliefs has.  I can’t believe that there was a time in my life that I wanted to be “too cool” to be persecuted as a believer of Christ.  I hope you all have a wonderful week and enjoy this weather.
